Nearly every day someone at work buys ice cream. And a few days ago someone left a cake near my desk for most of the day. The smell was driving me insane, i wanted some so bad.

I just tried to ignore it, and thought about the benefits i get from eating food that is good for me. It worked, but it wasn't easy. What works for you?

I either think about the nice filling meal I could be eating instead of an icecream or the hour on the exercise bike it would take to burn it off... but mainly what i could be eating instead that would actually satisfy me and not just give a sugar hit. Alternatively I just have a little of whatever sweet stuff i've allowed myself (currently an unsugared crystallized ginger piece @ ~50kJ)

I wish i had the will power to turn down unhealthy food, its especially hard when the people you live with try to force feed it to you >_<

Hmmm.... I have the same problem there... when everything's going well I don't give in, but when I'm not feeling on top of the world I'll tend to give in and just eat... on a good day, when I manage to restrain myself, it's usually because I'm aware of the benefits of not eating for the sake of it and the next day these benefits are recognised when I weigh myself and I weigh less than the day before... anyhow, glad to see that I'm not the only one who struggles with temptation... :D

maybe you should find different people to live with, huck? if they can't respect you trying to lose weight.
