Once i started counting calories I embarked on a journey to find the best foods i could eat to lose weight with a decent fill factor. So lets gather the best brands/foods here!
Off the top of my head:
Products:
(energy measured per 100gm)
Coke Zero
1.4kJ/0.3Cal vs 180kJ/43Cal for normal coke.
Personally it also tastes much better than diet coke. I've replaced all soda and a lot of fruit drinks with Coke Zero when green tea or water won't do.
Paul's Slim Milk no fat
162kJ/38.7Cal vs 271kJ/64.8Cal for normal milk
Was the lowest energy milk I could find at the supermarket and it's not half bad..
Green Tea, no milk or sweetener
No kJ/Cal
Not only tastes ok, (although i like a dash of milk) gives a bit of a boost and is full of antioxidants it actively helps you lose weight, apparantly a study concluded it burnt energy 4% faster than a placebo.
Campbell's Velish Soup - Curried pumpkin and Chickpea
179kJ/43Cal
Tastes pretty good and nicely low in Calories without being a diet soup. Easy enough to resist temptation of having toast with it by just having a little more.. 500ml which is two serves is only 895kJ/214Cal which is pretty good for a dinner: ~10% of daily energy requirements to maintain weight at the end of the day. Makes it easy to maintain a 5000kJ/1200Cal diet.
got to round up a bunch more products i use now..
Vegetables:
Gherkins/pickled cucumbers
Because they are such a strong flavour it's easy to fill up on a handful of them quickly.
Capsicum/Red Pepper
I've always liked the taste of capsicums and they're easy to eat raw
Carrots
I hate them cooked, but once i knocked all the junkfood out of my diet i was surprised how good carrots taste.
